82 year old male living with family with dementia.   He is completely non-verbal this is for family respite, and very needed.  Might you have a good book you can read sitting next to the patient, so the family can have a break? 30 minute drive from Davis.

75 year old male living in a facility hopes to have someone visit and play rock music or watch car shows, also you could bring car magazines and read to him.

We have an 82 year old male living at his home who is hoping for a companion who enjoys talking about hunting, fishing and sports.  Might these activities be a source of your joy also? If so, give the volunteer manager a call to discuss responding to this opportunity.

90 year old female using oxigen lives in a facility and hopes to do puzzles with a volunteer.

This patient is matched.

This is a unique pt. he is young, 38 and is terminal. What he asks for is for someone to rub his legs as they are no longer working and they feel better when they have pressure applied to them.  You need to feel comforable with this, it is a service to him. He is very sweet and chatty as well. He lives with his family who adores him and is devistated by his situation.  This is a brief visit each time, but SO important to him.  Might you be willing to ease his sufforing in this way? I need a patient volunteer to be with a 79 year old female. She is sweet and has very little memory. Weekends in the afternoons are preferred. MIght you have it in your heart to hold space with this patient?

73 year old Spanish speaking female hopes to have someone come and play her 70's Spanish music. She is most alert between 2-4pm otherwise she is very sleepy.  An hour visit will be plenty for her as she tires easily. She also appreciates someone reading the Bible to her.  Sweet family to know!  Let me know if you might match with them.

We have an 88 yr old male who is bed ridden. A huge Raiders fan, loves to talk football.  Some confusion, but can converse.
