Wilton Rancheria's 10th Annual Native Breast Cancer Awareness Walk/Run
The Life Transitions Outreach Team at YoloCares is thrilled to announce our participation in the Wilton Rancheria's 10th Annual Native Breast Cancer Awareness Walk/Run on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, at Elk Grove Regional Park in Elk Grove, CA. This impactful event supports breast cancer awareness within the Native American community, and we are seeking dedicated volunteers to join us in this meaningful cause.
Event Schedule:
- 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Volunteer Arrival and Final Setup
- 9:30 AM: Welcome and Opening Prayer
- 9:50 AM: Team Roll Call
- 10:00 AM - 10:18 AM: Stretch and Start of Walk/Run (Wave 1: Runners, Wave 2: Walkers)
- 10:30 AM: Fun Zone and Booths Open
- 11:15 AM: Raffle Announcements
- 12:00 PM: Lunch and Live Entertainment
- 1:30 PM: Honoring of Breast Cancer Survivors
- 2:00 PM: Final Raffle Announcements
- 2:30 PM: Closing Prayer
Volunteer Duties:
- Manning the YoloCares Booth: Engage with event participants, share information about our services, and offer support to those interested in learning more about breast cancer awareness and YoloCares.
- Booth Setup and Takedown: Assist with setting up our materials before the event and packing up afterward.
- Support During the Event: Help direct participants, distribute event materials, and assist in the Fun Zone with activities such as carnival games and face painting.
This event is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the community while honoring breast cancer survivors and promoting health and wellness. It also offers a day filled with fun activities, live entertainment, and the chance to connect with the broader community.
