Sacramento Black Food Fest 2024
The Community Outreach Team at YoloCares is excited to announce our participation in the Annual Sacramento Black Food Fest on Sunday, September 8th, 2024, at 2251 Florin Road, Sacramento, CA 95822. This vibrant event celebrates Black culture and culinary heritage, offering a unique opportunity to engage with the community, enjoy diverse food offerings, and support Black-owned businesses.
Event Schedule:
- 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Volunteer Arrival and Booth Setup
- 1:00 PM: Event Begins
- 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM: Live Music and Performances
- 3:15 PM - 4:30 PM: Cultural Dance Performances
- 5:00 PM: Culinary Demonstrations
- 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM: Event Wrap-Up and Volunteer Takedown
Volunteer Duties:
- Manning the YoloCares Booth: Engage with festival-goers, share information about our services, and discuss the importance of community support and cultural awareness.
- Booth Setup and Takedown: Assist with arranging our materials before the event and packing up afterward.
- Event Support: Help direct attendees, distribute promotional materials, and assist with activities at the booth, such as cultural engagement games and informative sessions.
This event is an excellent opportunity to celebrate the rich cultural diversity in our community while also spreading awareness about YoloCares and the services we provide. Volunteers will enjoy a day filled with lively entertainment, delicious food, and the chance to connect with the broader Sacramento community.
