About Dr. James Goss
Dr. James Goss, who lost his wife to cancer in 2021, brings a rich background in academia, research, and teaching on topics related to death, grief, and human flourishing. He is Professor Emeritus from California State University, Northridge, where he taught for 32 years in the Religious Studies Department. Dr. Goss served as Department Chair, President of the Faculty, and Executive Associate to the University President. He holds a Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate University, a M.Th. from the School of Theology at Claremont, and a B.A. from the University of Southern California.
