The Center for Loss and Hope at YoloCares invites you to join us in community for a special memorial service honoring your loved ones as well as those cared for by YoloCares.
Our Autumn Memorial will include gentle music, readings, a time for reflection, and a message from Dr. Chris Erdman, as well as an invitation to participate in the creation of our Dia de los Muertos altar.
Between October 21 and November 2 you are also invited to come to YoloCares and add items to honor your loved one. Our agency’s Dia de los Muertos ofrenda (altar) also honors the traditions of our indigenous peoples of the Americas. You’re invited to participate by offering small photos of your deceased friends and family members (preferably under 6” and including your name if you wish to retrieve your photo after November 2), candles, incense, marigolds, water, sweets (packaged to avoid bugs), and decorations such as tissue paper flowers, sugar skulls, and the like.
The Center for Loss and Hope Memorial Service is designed to help guide your ongoing journey into resilience and hope.
